Always enjoy your blog posts. I must say that I am a bit skeptical of this free calendar. I signed up for another 'launch-calendar' (based on a pretty well known marketers recommendation) & not a single one of the big launches that have happened in the past 4-5 months had been listed! It seems to me that you have to "Pay to Play" in order to find out in advance about the big guru's launches (namely paying to join the JV networks they area part of).

And if often leads you to make the wrong decision. You think clearer when you separate emotion. It doesn't make you less genuine/passionate about your job, it just allows you to make the "right" business decision. At least that's what I think.

Yep, I had a site I was just giddy over.

Then one day I had an offer put on the table I couldn't refuse.

Ever since then, I've viewed all my sites and products for what they are, parts of a larger whole which can be interchanged and eliminated when the time warrants.

Dang… that sounds cold.

Yes that is true but they also will not understand how the marketing works and can't give a solid perspective except from a logical black and white view.

So make damn sure you put their critique into perspective with YOUR VISION because just because things are logically planned out doesn't mean it will work. LOL

If you are friends with a programmer then ask them to review your business. Programmers have a logical mindset and will see potential weaknesses in the logic of your decisions, processes and systems.
