#8 is wonderful, but no sheep. I'm shocked that a Scot would have a field without his girlfriends in it.
Kevin,
The sheep are there.. in "stealth" mode.

#8 for me, simply because I love the header, I'm a sucker for landscape photo's. I would call it 'Morning Glory'!
Regards,
Colin

i like the 2nd theme:very aesthetic and attention grabbing.

John,
I like #3 – my eyes were immediately drawn to the content on the left side while the link layout/menu on the right makes it easy to get an overview at a glance.
I'm not too keen on the color choice for the template, but that can easily be changed to fit whatever niche you're targeting.
Following in a close 2nd is #9 as it looks like it can easily be modified to appear more like a traditional website with all the benefits of WordPress. It's got a nice header section in which a nice graphic could be placed for your specific niche.
My 2-cents – Great job on all the templates.

The usability and sheer number of themes to fit any type of blog is probably the number one reason why I love WordPress more than any other blogger platform out there.
Number 7 looks great, nice and bright which makes it stand out. The others look fabulous too, difficult choice!
I'm voting for #3 and #4 as my second choice.

Love theme #s 8 & 10 as both would lend themselves well to my niche, which is in the holistic alternative health market.
Would prefer them in 2 column format as I would use them for my traffic generating blogs.
Cheers
Diana
Hello John,
Theme number 8 has (in my opinion) the best color scheme. So number 8 has to be the winner – of course ;~)
I would name it Mellow Morning Meadow.
BTW, after 3 Glenfiddichs I can see sheep in that meadow!
Thanks John for the good looking themes. They all look good but number 8 is great!
Sincerely,
Steve Dougherty

I would opt for #3. For a niche blog it gives scope for integrating adsense pretty well in the left of the two sidebars!

No 8 gets my vote. I tried just quickly scrolling up and down the page a few times, and each time it was no8 that either made me stop or just grabbed my attention.

#8 is nice.
I like #2. It has a clean and crisp feeling. It's easy on the eyes. The headline's background is not overwhelming or distracting. The overall layout is simple. The viewer goes straight to view the copy on the left side and is not distracted by ads. The blue sky gives a feeling of calmness and spirituality.
I like number 7 with the clean design and contrasting colors.
Hi, I love No 3 – but, typical woman – I keep changing my mind LOL
Mar
6. Plain and simple which would work in any type of niche, and one any person getting into blogging could use without too much effort.
Interesting, everyone seems to like the number Eight, it could be the graphics, or perhaps it is the distinctive design?

I've got #8 nipping #1 at the wire.
I noticed a lot of comments supporting #8 (I'm sorry to say, I actually thought it was #7 … until I read the comments and took another look … realized the # was BELOW the template!) … I guess it's gotta be the header image, no?
Tim,
Is that an observation or a choice?
John
My choice would be #10 – it shows good use of the available real estate. I like split 3 col. themes (which satisfy my need for balance) with customizable image headers. The only problem is that I prefer white backgrounds which I find to make text crisper and easier to read.
I like them all! But if I really have to choose it would be………………ummmmm.
Just one huh?
Okay its………yeah just one more minute………….
Okay its official. Its number 10. Number two would be 8.
That lite blue color I personally think is real nice.
Alan
#8 a nice 3 col theme for health or nature type blogs. I would call it Brown Earth.

I voted #1
Looks pretty refreshing to me cos I love Blue.
However, the brownish background doesn't seem right yet I can still accept it.
I would name it, "refreshing blue"

Hello John, thank you for sharing some great templates. My number one choice would have to be #1. This theme would fit perfectly for me to add a blog to my existing website. A close second would be #8 only because of my current site colors and theme. The comments have been quite interesting and informative for the most part. Always great to hear others thoughts and ideas.
Kim
I like theme #2.
It looks clean and I like the color scheme.
Tom
I like number 2. Jameson's Rocks!!

I like #9 or #2, very slick and clean.

Honestly, I don't usually care for green, but #3 is my choice, nevertheless. And it would help to see footers. Footers are very important.
#3 is straightforward and clean, and with the columns on the right, the first thing the bots will spider will be the posts. #8 and #10 are beautiful, but the left column would be a no-go for me.
Thanks!

I liked a couple of them but it comes down to the "niche site" choice. For that reason I'd chose #9. For niche sites, I prefer a template that looks more site-like than blog-like.
kay
I was originally going to pick #4 because of the light color scheme. But I don't see a place for the blog title.
So I'm voting for #2, again because of the light neutral colors and because it has a header for the title to go in. And clouds would make a nice backdrop for any number of topics.
I also like #10, but most niche bloggers I know want a more ordinary theme. I happen to be the diva in my group and I always prefer color!
So, overall, I vote for #2! How's THAT for a runaround?!
They're all very nice though. Will have to bookmark this page.
Thanks and Cheers!

I forgot…I would call the theme "Beamer's Choice"! LOL

#3 – Good balance, header image, rhs sidebars and two sidebars giving opportunity for content links and adverts.
#2 is my choice, very simple and I like blue.
Spencer Chun’s last blog post..Guitar Ergonomics
#10 I like the way the colours blend. I can't believe Kevin said what he did.
No. 10 if the topic should have something to do with water or boats. It is light blue and simulates waves.
Lothar Evers’s last blog post..Gandhi, Mead, Ben, Jerry
I am going with no. 2 – reasons being:
– two column better – as with three column it gets too busy, or else you don't fill all three columns. Two column drives the reader first to the main section (post) and then to the navigation or other content. That is all you need.
- navigation on the right – better for SEO and better for getting the visitor to focus on the content (eye mapping – visitors eyes go to top left and travel a little across and then down).
- nice clean theme – good for focus on content

I prefer no 2 as it's simple and even I could use it
, being a rookie WP user
. I'd call it "silver lined clouds".
Ania
I like (to be) number 1!
Thanks.
I choose theme # 8 because I love the background color.
John,
I'm partial to #10. For some reason when they
brought out peacock blue fountain pens in high school
days I've always liked the color.
My dad always had a boat in the yard too.
Cheers,
Rob
