How To Grow Both Twitter Followers And Your Blog Subscribers

While watching the Twitter stream this morning I saw a tweet from Jonathan Gunson that caught my eye. He included a link to a post on Chris Garrett's blog entitled: How to Grow Both Twitter Followers and Your Blog Subscribers in which Chris discusses how it's easier to grow a list of followers than to build your audience of blog readers and subscribers.

Having looked at my own data, I can confirm that I have a lot more Twitter followers than blog subscribers. But then my blog readership has grown as more and more of my Twitter followers have visited my blog.

Clearly, it's a question of balance.. I don't think it's a question of focusing on either Twitter or your blog. It's more a "both and" situtation where you need to integrate both your activity on Twitter and the content that you provide on your blog.
