Ladies Skirts and Sales Copy

I've said it before and I'll no doubt say it again and again and again..

"Sales copy should be like a ladies skirt..
short enough to be interesting and long
enough to cover the bare essentials"

Now you may be thinking.. Yeah right, but these days traditional sales copy is being replaced by video. And I'd reply: So what?

It doesn't matter what media you use to deliver your sales message.. you still need the right number of words!

You need the right amount of information to sell the optin on a squeeze page, you need the right amount of information on a landing page or on a sales page.

If you're using audio or video you still need to grab your prospects attention, draw them into your presentation, sell the benefits, provide social proof, overcome the objections and close the sale.

So, how long should your "copy" be?

The only way to get an accurate answer to that question is to ask your target market and let them tell you by their actions.

Is video right for your market?

Set up a split test to compare a video presentation with a text based sales page.

Whichever delivery method you decide is best for your specific audience, don't accept your first attempt as being the best you can do. Keep testing.

Love how your phrase your words!! I believe video does have a time and a place for when it is needed. But on the other hand words are powerful when they are in the right content, format, keyword based and set out in a way that does work.
Thanks for your skirt story…love it…do you mind if i remember it next time i need to copy write lol
