When someone arrives on your website, is it abundantly clear what it is that you want them to do?

It never ceases to amaze me to arrive at a website only to be totally confused by the layout, the navigation or the content.

I see sites with optin form, Adsense adverts, buy now buttons.. all clamoring for the visitors attention.

Don't make that mistake. Be very clear what you want your visitor to do and design your site to make it happen.
