One of the most common questions people ask me is "Where do you get your ideas for niche markets?"

It's not something that I have ever had a problem with, there are so many readily available sources of ideas! I read a newspaper every day, I watch the news on TV, I read magazines on topics that interest me, I pay attention to the advertisements on TV.

Everywhere there is a problem there is a niche market.. People who are looking for solution to a problem with often be willing to pay for an immediate solution.

I've just noticed three niche market ideas by watching TV adverts:  Removing Hard Skin; Travel Insurance for the over fifties and Current Bank Accounts that pay interest.

Finding niche markets doesn't have to be a major problem.  just keep your eyes and ears open, pay attention to what's going on around you.

I've been playing with it today and it rocks!

It saved me loads of time researching content for one of my favourite niche markets. 

I know my writing isn't perfect, I do what I can to proof read it before I click the Send or the Publish buttons.

But would you approve an advert for a cereal that changes the colour of your skin?

Our audiences are becoming much more discerning, our readers are looking for content that they can trust. Content that engages your reader will entertain, enlighten, educate them.

To engage your target audience, your reade, your subscribers, your customers.. you need to provide them with not just what they want, but also what they need. Your job is to over-deliver not just once.. but repeatedly.

The most engaging content overlaps all three critical elements:

 This is embarrassing, way back in 2006 Joel Holzman coded a script for me that was never released. Joel and I were chatting on Skype the other day and we got to talking about a couple of past projects when he reminded me about the original project.
