Quit Digging A Bigger Hole!
I was talking to a friend on the telephone this morning. He explained that he was building another website to sell another new product that he had added to his portfolio. Essentially he is building what he believes to be a sales funnel. However, I asked him where the broad range of products he has at the entry point of the funnel were taking his customers.
In my opinion building a wider entry point at the front end of your business does nothing but create a bigger hole in which you are pouring your advertising budget. UNLESS, of course, you have additional products that you can offer on the backend as upsells.
Unfortunately, this is not an unusual approach to building an online business. Far too many people start at the wrong end of the funnel.
The most successful online entrepreneurs begin with the end in mind. They have a vision of offering a high ticket product, seminar or coaching service and they design their sales funnel to lead their prospects through a series of steps from an entry-level product all the way through to their big ticket item.
So, instead of digging a bigger hole I strongly recommend that you take a step back, decide what your top of the range product will be and then reverse engineer the sales process all the way back to your lead generation system.
When you have a destination in mind it is significantly easier to plan the route. If you don't know where you are going you will undoubtedly end up somewhere else.

Deceptively simple, clever and non-herd way of thinking that persons who want to be their 'out-of-the-box' selves can benefit from.
Thank You, John.
