Valentine's Day Gifts For..

I checked my spam folder this morning just to make sure that emails that I wanted to read hadn't been filtered out by an over-zealous software programme. (Yes it does occasionally happen!)

Anyway, sadly, it was all spam. However, all was not lost.. there's always something to be learned if you are willing to pay attention.

One specific subject title jumped out at me.. "Valentine's Gifts For Lesbians"

Now, I certainly don't condone sending out bulk unsolicited emails, I have enough problems dealing with all the rubbish that arrives in my spam folder.

However, despite the fact that the sender was sending out mass emails. At least it's subject line was designed to get the attention of a specific group of people and that subject line was bang on topic today.

Just how well do you target your readers through your subject lines?
