Your Sales Conversion Isn't Just One Number.

I've had a few questions about conversion rates recently and many people seem to view the Sales Conversion Rate at the Holy Grail.

Sorry folks.. Being a "Big Picture" type of person, I prefer to look at the entire Sales Conversion Process (SCP).

The SCP starts at the initial point of contact. That might be an Adwords ad, a text link ad, an article resource box, a link in an email or any other clickable link.

Each time you present your prospect with a link to click (An action to take), you have a micro conversion that you can measure.

By taking all the micro conversions into account, you will get a much better view on the SCP, or the macro conversion.

So, don't just look at your sales conversion rate in isolation. Step back and look at the big picture. After all you are responsible for the whole of your business, not just one small department.
